Bring innovative financial products to low-income families once considered “unbankable.”

The context

Out of a population of 80 million, it's estimated that only 20 percent of poor households in the Philippines have access to financial services. Until recently, the Philippine microfinance sector demonstrated limited outreach and performance. However, greater access to commercial sources of funds is helping to fuel a recent surge of growth in client outreach among these microfinance institutions (MFIs).
