Legacies

Considering when is the best time to write your will is never easy. We're either too young, too poor, too single, or simply having too much fun, to ever think properly about 'putting our affairs in order' - it all sounds far too serious! And indeed it's something that most of us will try to put off as long as posible (in fact seven out of ten of us don't get round to making a will at all) - 'if I don't think about it, it'll never happen!'- not the case, unfortunately.

Legacies come in all sizes - from a few hundred pounds to very generous contributions of over £50,000. They may be gifted for specific projects, areas of work or purposes, but are most valuable if left to Mercy Corps' discretion, where they can be used where and when the need is greatest. This ensures Mercy Corps can respond quickly, flexibly and innovatively as urgent emergency and development needs arise.

Leaving a gift to Mercy Corps is a very special way to help ensure that we can continue to our work. A will which includes a legacy to Mercy Corps can mean the gift of life and hope to some of the world's poorest and most vulnerable children, families and communities.
