In Nepal, trade and the movement of goods often takes place within geographically defined Economic Corridors. A typical corridor runs north-south. Many corridors span all three of Nepal's major ecological zones: mountains, hills, and terai. Corridors follow Nepal's natural geography and facilitate the flow of goods between the mountains and the plains.

This map shows Nepal's fourteen economic corridors, along with the location of organizations and agriculture markets for 2007.
