Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon
For anyone seeking an incredible challenge for 2012, allow us to introduce you to the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon!
The Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon is arguably the most challenging event known to Scotland. It is a test of endurance, strength and fitness through some of the most spectacular and historic areas of the Scottish Highlands. Participants push their stamina to the limit as they conquer a 0.8 mile swim across Loch Tay, hike/run 15 miles over 7 munroes, then kayak 7 miles, before cycling 34 miles around the entire loch – all in one day!
Take on the challenge and make a difference where it's needed most
A warm welcome goes out to all of our newly signed up participants for 2012 – and we encourage inquisitive individuals with a taste for pushing their athletic endurance to the limit to check out the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon website and sign up for this exhilarating and unforgettable event!
Mercy Corps is delighted that for the eighth consecutive year Quadrathlon participants will be raising money to support our life-changing work across the globe. Since 2005, the Quadrathlon has helped raise an impressive £3.9 million for Mercy Corps’ projects around the world.
The 2011 event was a huge success and has so far raised over £170,000 for Mercy Corps’ work in Timor Leste - a huge thank you to all who took part and survived the weekend and to those who are returning once again to support Mercy Corps.
This year Quadrathletes will be supporting an incredible project in Colombia, working with local communities to prevent the recruitment of child soldiers into local armed groups and to reintegrate existing child soldiers back into education and society.
