OVERVIEW Mercy Corps is currently working along the Gulf Coast to help children and families recover from the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. After an immediate response, the agency is now focusing on rebuilding the region. Mercy Corps programs in the U.S. are also assisting Pacific Northwest entrepreneurs in the in their quest to build businesses. Mercy Corps Northwest helps low-income, minority, female, immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs start and expand business, leading to local economic development and income to support families.
