Timor-Leste

Timor-Leste is a country in tremendous need of substantial development in a wide variety of sectors. Mercy Corps has chosen to focus on building the skills of farmers to build local economies. We're implementing a European Community-funded project in Timor-Leste to improve food and cash crop production for 4,500 farmer families — about 22,500 individuals — in two rural districts: Ainaro and Manfahi.
