Both rural families and urban entrepreneuers in Kyrgyzstan are building profitable businesses thanks to Mercy Corps' Kompanion Financial Group, the country's leading small-scale lender.

In the country's impoverished Ferghana Valley region, Mercy Corps is bringing together neighboring communities in a new spirit of economic cooperation. Our school-feeding programs augment nutrition for 60,000 students, and we're partnering with more than 600 communities to repair, expand and construct school facilities.
