China
Our strategy
Foster resilience and economic empowerment among vulnerable communities and youth.
The context
While China’s growing economy has created new opportunities for many, the widening gap between rich and poor has created new social and economic challenges. Access to stable livelihoods and adequate services remains a serious challenge. Addressing social disparities is now a high priority.
Our work
- Children & Youth: Improving educational and work opportunities for urban youth who’ve migrated from rural areas
- Disaster preparedness: Helping local governments and communities prepare for natural disasters while improving local livelihoods
- Conflict & Governance: Cultivating skills for social entrepreneurship among young Chinese leaders
